Privacy Policy

DocChaser (“DocChaser,” “we,” “us”) helps mortgage and loan brokers collect documents from their borrowers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DocChaser you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
  • Google authorization tokens. Stored securely so we can save documents to your Google Drive on your behalf.
  • Borrower details. The borrower name and email you enter so we can send the upload link and reminders.
  • Optional loan notes. Any optional details you add to a loan for your own reference — such as a phone number, city, or a private note. These are stored solely on your behalf, only ever shown back to you, never included in anything we send to your borrower, and never used for any other purpose. You can edit or delete them at any time.
  • Document metadata. File names, checklist status, and timestamps. We do not store the document files themselves — they are uploaded directly into your Google Drive.

How we use Google user data

DocChaser requests the Google Drive drive.file scope, which grants access only to the files and folders DocChaser itself creates. We use it solely to create your client-documents folder, create a per-loan subfolder, and place borrower uploads there.

DocChaser's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the service: to authenticate you, send document requests and reminders to borrowers on your behalf, save uploads to your Drive, display your dashboard, provide support, and keep the service secure.

Sharing and service providers

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run DocChaser: Google (Drive storage and sign-in), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database), and Vercel (hosting) — and, if you subscribe, Paddle (payments, as our Merchant of Record). Each processes data only to provide their part of the service.

Retention and your choices

We keep account and loan metadata while your account is active. You can revoke DocChaser's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions. You can permanently delete your account and all DocChaser data anytime from Settings → Danger Zone (or by contacting us). Documents already saved to your Drive are never deleted — they remain yours and under your control.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit. Because uploads go straight to your Google Drive, we never store your clients' documents on our own infrastructure.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions? Email us at support@docchaser.xyz.
