Refund Policy

This policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for DocChaser subscriptions. It applies once paid plans begin — while we're running our pilot, DocChaser is free and there's nothing to refund.
Free pilot period
DocChaser is currently free for our pilot brokers. No card is required and no charges are made. We'll give clear notice before billing ever begins.
Subscriptions and billing
When paid plans launch, DocChaser is offered as a subscription: $79/month billed monthly, or $790/year billed annually (two months free). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, who issues your receipt and handles any applicable sales tax or VAT.
Canceling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. When you cancel:
- You keep full access for the rest of the billing period you've already paid for — whether that's the current month or the current year.
- Your subscription does not renew after that period ends, and you won't be charged again.
- Because you keep access through the period you paid for, canceling does not trigger a refund of that period.
Refunds
Payments for the current billing period are generally non-refundable. We don't provide prorated or partial refunds for the unused portion of a month or year, since your access continues until the end of that period.
We'll always make things right when something goes wrong on our side. You can request a full refund if:
- you were charged in error or charged more than once;
- you were billed for a renewal after you had already canceled; or
- a sustained service problem on our end prevented you from using DocChaser.
Beyond these cases, we may still issue a refund at our discretion — just reach out and tell us what happened.
Your rights and Paddle's Buyer Terms
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, any refund is processed by Paddle back to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under Paddle's Buyer Terms or applicable consumer law. Note that DocChaser is sold for business use, which may affect which statutory consumer protections apply to you.
How to request a refund
Email us at support@docchaser.xyz with the email on your account and, if you have it, the order or receipt number from Paddle. We aim to respond within two business days.
